Running meth without tune help please

Hey guys I have an 01 ls1 with a Maggie and a 3.0 pulley and just installed an aem meth kit and was wondering if I could run it on meth for a couple weeks till I get tuned for it. Are there any ill effects to running it that way? I'm running 50/50 mix

I'm running it after the maf and was wondering if by it running rich will it make the car run slower?

Yes it will run a lot more rich unless you use a small nozzle, yes it will most likely be slower but it really depends. It will be safer though
