Default Fuel System Questions

I am about to tune my car with E85 then Nitrous (#200 on Dyno/ #150 on street)
I run around 460-480rwhp N/A (no dyno on pump gas)
Here is a list of my mods

HKE 383 Stroker built for 200 shot.
Callies Compstar 4.0 Crank with 24 tooth reluctor
Callies Compstar 5.125 Rods with ARP Bolts
Wiseco 3cc Pistons 3.903 Bore
Wiseco GFX Piston Rings
ARP Main Studs
ACL Main and Rod Bearings for LSX Race
PnP 243 Heads upgraded springs and all.. Compression around 11.75-1
231 239 608 612 113 custom cam from VA Speed
LS6 intake
38lb Inj
Melling High Flow oil pump
ARP Head Studs
Headers back exhaust
Upgraded 80mm MAf
Varaam CAI
Elite Eng Catch Can

I am wondering if this set up
{Racetronix C5LS1-FPK2 (with Walbro 255) pump assembly w/ wire harness. www.texas-speed.com/}
{AC Delco G4 gasket kit. Includes new bolts. Do NOT re-use old gasket. www.rockauto.com
and a
KB Boost a Pump}

Will support my expected gains of up to the 600+rwhp range on spray?
Or should I go with your Kit from A&A or ECS?
. Should I also upgrade my INJ? from 38Lb to something like 40+?

If it were me I'd do a standalone fuel cell for the nitrous and run C16 or E85 in it. I have no experience with your exact fuel system on E85 but I would imagine even with a pump booster you will be for sure at the limit of the single pump on E85

Well an A&A or EcS kit adds a secondary pump and both say to hold up to 800 hp. Plus it being a street car I don't want to so a stand alone fuel cell

Send a pm to blownbluezo6. He knows a thing or three about this

Also ditch the GFX rings.

Garbage rings.

Unless the engine is already built.

I'll put on my flame suit now.

I would suggest an ECS kit, it's the only fuel system I use.

38# rated at three bar would probably work, but it's tough to say with E85. We dont have it around here so I dont have a ton of experience with it.

I put down 442rwhp when I was NA and on E85. The only thing I did was run direct alternator power to the pump. After adding the maggie and putting down 560rwhp a 40amp KB BAP has kept me going but I'm at about the limit. I have to crank it all the way up to have enough fuel. If you're running a wet shot I wouldn't think fuel would be as big an issue. I'd recommend the harness but stop there until you see how it does on the dyno. No point in wasting money and IMO the 255 would be as far as you would need to go. I ran 42# green top injectors when I was NA and only ran about 65% duty cycle. At 442rwhp NA the stock injectors were maxed out.

Mjd. I swapped inj when I was running 430rwhp. On 93. Was running 85% duty cycle. I just don't want to be on the dyno and run out of fuel with my 38lb inj even with a harness and pump on e85. Thus running out of fuel on a wet shot

If your at 85% now you'll want more injector. I don't know nitrous all that well but a wet shot uses its own fuel and jets correct? If that's the case a set of 42's will do you. There is one bit of advice I can give you regarding injectors. After you switch to E85 and get a couple thousand miles on them pull them and clean them off. I had an oil change between the time I was NA and when I put the blower on. When I pulled the injectors each one had a "crown" of gunk around the injector port. The e85 had cleaned out my fuel system and deposited it at the injector tip. I was cussing because I was getting some misses here and there at WOT thinking it was my plugs. I'm pretty certain now it was the gunk impeding fuel delivery. I have had no issue since then.

No the 85% was with my stock inj. Now I haven't put it on the dyno Waiting till I get my fuel system set up before I go e85 and n2o. And will remember the inj

At your current NA power those should be enough injector. You won't pick up any power switching to it except maybe some low end torque but it is a very safe fuel to run.

Yeah it's only 3-5% rwhp gain depending on the setup. Planned on running like that then put the n2o on.
