Default 99 coupe nitrous questions

So i bought this coupe a few months ago. it has a nitrous system hooked up, but i dont know how to distinguish what system it is and how the nitrous is even activated. It only has the heater and line that go to the bottle, no purge, no blow down. Its a plate system and there is two switches but no labels. anyways, could you guys post up some pics of how you have your nitrous setup in your c5 coupe, not frc.. also how did you do your blow down tube and purge setups? where would be a good place for the purge outlets? I was thinking that if i did a double purge outlet, i would have one pointing at the radiator and one pointing out of the front of the car. please post up guys, show me what your setup looks like and give me a run down of how you hookep it all up.. Im very new to all this and want to get it on the track as soon as i find some good rims and tires for the back.

LOL you said rims and tires. I think you should maybe take some pics of what you have or pay the old owner to teach you how to use the system or best yet pay a reputable shop to 1 make sure its set up and TUNED for nitrous 2 teach you how to use it. Maybe they can help you out with buying your dubs also.

Don't pay attention to turbo civic.... I would imagine you are talking about a track set up for your rear (ie: drag radial, or slicks mounted on t/a rims or others) as far as the nitrous goes best bet is to go to a shop and have them trace the kit, test it, and make sure you have a dynotune for it. I would definitely check what pills are in the system to have an idea of how much you are spraying.

Good luck with this

yeah im talking about some stocker c5's to throw some drag radials or been looking into bias ply slicks. the clutch is a twin disc race setup, rear end has been beefed up and 3:90 gears. heads and intake swapped out with ported ls6 and matched with a custom grind solid cam. brand new valve train, lt's to x-no cats ect.. yes it already has been tuned, I have looked at it and i can tell that it is activated through a wide open sensor. I wasnt sure if it was as simple as trace the wires to see which is activating the system and which is turning on the bottle heater. I can figure all that out... I guess im looking for what others did for the blow down and where they mounted their purge lines.. im not taking it to a shop, no need for these things to be figured out. if i cant get any help on here then i will just fab something up, just looking for ideas to keep it clean inside..

oh turbocivic, dude stfu. dont have useful info, then dont post in my thread. pics? you want me to have a picture book made for you to understand what im asking? will that help? maybe some pop ups and engine noises? will that help you buddy? seriously tho, i have some zr1's on for my day to day use, looking for drag setup to throw on for weekends and fun days..

I agree pics of what you have would help us help you. The more info giving the easier it will be for someone to guide you. Where is your bottle mounted, what size jets are in it, what kind of system and (wet or dry assuming wet because its a plate system), what window switch do you have also what are you set points (activation, shutoff)? You are positive it has been tuned nitrous is good stuff but you should find out who tuned it what size jets, what the wot afr is, what octane fuel was used during tuning. As far as the blow off tube I'm assuming your bottle is in your trunk just by a blow down kit drill a hole put in a bulk head and done. The purge where to put it kind of depends on where your lines are now you have to tee into the min line and put another noid inline. Mine purges out the top by the wiper cowl. Where ever you want it to. I would get all the info before you spend any money on it, don't know where or who you got your car from but there are a lot of nitrous hacks out there. Good luck you will love it when it's all sorted out.

There is a lot of good information above. I also suggest you have someone help you with setting this up but I'll be glad to post a few suggestion pictures.

I have a "wet" system the solenoids are in the front of the radiator, here is where I ran a purge:

Mounting bottle & blowdown:

Below is another place to purge but it takes a little time to mount but, it does have a cool effect in the evening because it's lighted
