Default New Vortech V3 Si build

I'm just itching to get my hands on my car this Sunday. It has been with Mike Yeager of EastCoast Performance (board member) for a bit getting taken care of.

He added a bunch of stuff, most of which I can't remember until I see it this weekend. But that supercharger is going to blow my mind I'm sure.
Anyone have similar that can whet my whistle on how much of a difference it has made?

Bang for the buck this has to be the best thing going for adding a load of HP/TQ. No?

Just curious, did you send your car to East Coast to get the work done? Mike is a cool cat, talked with him numerous times on the phone when I needed goody parts. Great guy to deal with and always helped me out. You need to bring your car out to the meets when you get it back. Your right down the road from me.

I had a V3 Si build. I had a semi-built 347 with a mild blower cam, headers, LS6 intake, hollowed cats, x-pipe, and borla stingers. I also had meth injection. Car made around 650RWHP.

My V3Si had the 3.4 pulley and was around 11.3 PSI according to the logs.

I drove it from Round Rock to Columbia to use when I'm there for work. So I asked on the boards here who I could trust working on it. Mike was the overwhelming choice. I agree, he's a great guy to deal with. Can't wait to see his handywork this weekend.

(I have a beater Grand Cherokee in town in TX to use when I'm home.)

Nice, that's a lot of power. Mike had my car on the dyno the other day and it made 545rwhp. I don't know the setup that he put on it. I'll find out soon though.

Oh cool. I forgot to add that I had ported LS1 heads. What are your other mods and what size pulley are you using?

I don't know the size of the pulley he has on there. Some of the other mods are some Z06 shocks and rear sway bars. Short shifter with new shifter ****. New cold air intake (not sure which one he put on there).

I really don't know the whole list of stuff he did as when we talked about it on the phone and he asked for my go ahead, I didn't write any of the specifics down. I just told him I want it bada$$.

LOL bro you need to learn about what you have! Going blindly into it isn't the best way to do things. There is not any cold air intake on that car...the intake goes into the s/c, then gets routed through an I/C, though the charge pipe, and into your intake.

Do you know anything about Corvette's or wrenching on them?

I could probably change the oil and brake pads.
That's why I'm here. To learn from the pro's.

I took all his suggestions on what needed to be fixed and what upgrades made sense. I just don't know the brand/model of all the stuff he put on.

Well, get a list of all the mods and post up here. People cannot help unless they know what you are working with!

I'll find all that out when I pick it up this weekend. He may even stop by this thread and enlighten me before I get it back.

Hey Guys,

Larry's car is a bone stock LS1 engine, No Headers, NO LS6 or FAST Intake Manifold, No Head work, No exhaust and it still has ALL 4 cats on it..We did install 160 thermostat and throttle body by-pass, by that's All, WE installed one of Our New Oil Sender Gauge Relocation Kits on Larry's cars w/updated sender its looks beautiful, the pic above does not do it justice...the car made 542.97rwhp & 493.72rwtq...This numbers were made on a 90 degree day, with NO ice'ng down or taking off the dongle and filter...On a Very conservative tune, NO Meth...Its an A&A V3-SI TRim with ONLY a 3.6 Pulley is ALL...We also leave the screen in the MAF so it will drive better...WE did of course upgrade his fuel pump wiring in the car, all corvettes need this done when asking more than over 400 at the wheels...The factory wiring is not enough for the lengh of the wire that goes from the PCM back to the pump...

We flat black out the top of the radiator and condenser so it does not show up like a sore thumb...hehe

I pick Larry up from the airport today at 2:30pm est, he is going to be so happy and getty... We have it completely detailed for him and Pumped Full of Gas, he is ready to ride...

We also did the follow to his car, it needed servicing in every way possible, Its a very super nice car and well worth the money he spent on it, but someone never did any maintance on the car at ALL..

New C6 Z06 Shocks
New C6 Z06 Solid Sway Bar End-Links
New Rear L&R Outer Tie-Rod Ends
New Mantic ER2 12" Single Disc Clutch System w/ALL New Hydrolics
New Torque Tube Couplers
ALL New Seals & Gaskets in Transmission
All New Seals O-Rings Side Cover O-Rings & CV Axles Seals for Diff
Completely Flushed Brake System Including ABS
Completely Flush Engine & Radiator
Pulled Radiator and Condensor, they were full of over 5lbs of Grit & Trash.
New C6 Z06 Shifter Box
New C6 Z06 Shifter
New C6 Z06 Shifter Boot
New C6 Z06 Shifter ****
Screws bolts gaskets
Our Brand New Design Oil Sender
Our Brand New Design Oil Sender Relocation Kit
New Intake Manifold Gaskets and Foam Underneath
New C5 Z06 Valley Plate Cover with Vent System
New Cam Senor O-Ring
New Rear Main Seal & Rear Engine Plate Gasket
A TON of Cleaning
4-Wheel Alignment
Used RBF600 DOT4 in Brakes and Clutch Systems
160` Thermostat
Throttle Body By-Pass
Pulled Throttle Body off Intake to clean and wash out ALL the oil that was collecting inside the Intake manifold due to the PCV system not work correctly and they Never did or do in any LS1 Car....
His corvette being a 2001 we did NOT have to cut the support boss in the valley pan area..Its not there in 2001 and up engines...

Amazing how similar the power is to the "Tune Results - ECS 1500 kit" thread. How much boost with that pulley? Any dyno pull available to post??

Thanks

Hi Rob,

Are you asking for the Dyno Sheet to be posted up..?? Well you now Vortech makes Paxton Blowers, we like the A&A Kit much better because of all the upgraded items you get with it..Like a $250 Billet Aluminum Blow-Off valve, not a plastic borq-warner unit...

Once Larry picks car up from us this early afternoon he will have a print out of the dyno sheet that he can post up for you guys..

Remember Larry is very New to the world of Corvettes and LS power plants...

We are so pleased that it made the power it did, bc of the very restrictive 2001 STOCK Exhaust manifolds and 2 cats on each side, that s total of 4 cats...Lots of kittys

Unfortunately I wasn't there to see the fun, nor would I know what your asking means anyway.
