Looking good Ben. I suspect you will throw a rod or pinch a ring land eventually. I think the tight ring gap and weak rod bolts are the weakest links. Post pics when you find out.
Damn! that's movin! Sure is quiet on the track. you know the owner or something? I went down to H-town and it was a nuthouse!
Thanks. This was the last pass of the night and it was 12:05am. Almost everyone had gone home already. RPR in H-town can get crazy late at night. They draw from a much larger population base than Evadale.

LOL. Sorry Mark, it was really a last minute decision. I don't think you want to make the haul to Evadale. I got home from work at 7:00pm, jacked the car up and adjusted the boost controller and put the race tires on. They were out of air, and the air pressure regulator on the compressor was leaking. I repaired the regulator, gassed up the car and drove to the track. I tried to tune it some on the way there, but it was spinning in 4th on the asphalt roads. I got to the track at 10:00pm and made two easy passes to check the tune. It was rich, but no knock retard so I decided to give it one all out run. As mentioned, the only good prep was on the starting line, so I think it will run some good numbers soon.

Thanks, Joe. Surprisingly it felt really good at this power level. I think the quarter mile is probably easier on the engine although it did hit 7,150 rpms when I bumped the limiter in 2nd. Right now I'm more worried about doing a long highway pull in 5th or running the standing mile. It seems being at this power for longer duration is more stress on the parts. I guess we may find out this fall at Ellington.
