I started this thread in the C6 section also but felt I would post it here for the guys who do not frequent the C6 section.
For those in the "know".....how does E85 stackup againt c16 ?? Im interested in detonation resistance and latent heat of vaporization. I know what the professor's say.....E85 = 410 on the latent scale and 108 on the RON scale, the c16 = 135 on the latent scale and 116 on the RON scale.
But Im interested in what the real world says (not in a controlled lab).
Given the two different scenaris...who wins and why ??
Also, could we quantify the difference.....not just winner and loser.
If I didnt make it clear, Im speaking of a max situation. Also, any other data that can help "us" distinguish the info.....like D/A, grains and intake temp @ Xpsi..etc....
so....put these in order from best to worse......based on these criteria; simplicity, latent heat/intake temps, detonation resistance/octane and overall power.
