Default Radiator Support Modification

I know some of you have modified your radiator support so the front teeth don't hang down so low.

Does anyone have pictures of this? And information on where the cuts/welds were made?

Mine is pretty bent up and will be looking for a new/used one soon. Would like to mod it before throwing it in.

I too would like to see how to do this. I plan on cleaning things up a little and I want to make brackets for the side air damns also. mine are droopy.

i did this in place of installing the A&a cradle spacers. Not sure if this is what you are wanting. I can only assume that you have a supercharged car bc your posting in the FI section. And im assuming you dont want to lower the cradle any more then you need to.

With the cradle modified with the tabs lowered, do you worry about the radiator being the lowest point on the nose of the car?

I think I like this better than what I have, (spacers). It should keep the air damns stock and not droopy like mine are currently. I will still have to move my rad a bit forward though to still have room for charge pipe and dongle.

I cut the entire crossbar with the radiator mounts off and moved them forward 6 inches. I also angled it back a bit when I welded it back on to accomadate the tilt. This drops the top of the radiator about 4 inches and gives a ton of room for piping. Even with the condensor you still have about 4.5" of space between the condensor and the front frame rail. Its more about the tilt than the move forward. The trickiest part is stretching the consensor lines and straightening them out so the condensor will lay right after its done.

I have some pictures posted in my turbo build thread.

Fuuck Yeah when I got mine back it's the tilt that's still to close and needs the shrouds cut I may have it redone. I forgot to check back on this thread would of saved me some time and $$. Thanks for the info
