Default Custom fuel system Help! Converting to Return style

I have ordered all the parts to begin my fuel system build on my C5Z. I will list the main components and how I am planning on installing it below. The only question/concern I have is....Will installing a 97 fuel filter (converting to full return style) cause any problems to arrise with the transfer of fuel from tank to tank?????

Parts list:
Magnafuel 1500hp pump fed from bulkhead in tank
Pre and Post Fuel filters
-8 line ran thru rocker and T'ing into the factory fuel feed at the rail with check valve here
Magnafuel FPR (boost referenced) mounted after rails with 55ish base pressure
-8 return from regulator to the factory return port on the fuel hat

I have researched a LOT and I have the understanding that if I put the 97 filter on it will eliminate the factory returnless pressure regulator on the 98+ cars. Also when doing this the left over line that the 97 filter does not use will be where the return line is ran to!

Any help is much appreciated and I would like to hear from some guys that can speak from experience not from hearsay!

No it will not cause any issues.. you simple install the 97 filter in your car, the leave the extra hose not hooked up there if you want to and where it connects to the fuel hat, take it off of it and put your return line from FPR to it, either by hose clamp of some fancy an to GM connector from summit or ebay.. done and done

Why go through all the work only to choke it at mthe factory rail inlet?

Here is a pic of a 3/8 line and a factory inlet which is 3/8 on the factory rail!

You should do aftermarket rails or something!

Here is what I did: I had -8AN fittings welded onto the front of my rails and used the supply side as the return!

Thanks,Matt
