IAT relocation question

I have been searching for days and I am unable to find an answer. My question is can you drill and tap the intake manifold right behind the throttle body? I am looking to install the IAT sensor in the manifold instead of the inlet pipe. Just am unable to find info on it. I have found the thread about it but the pictures are gone. Is it thick enough to tap it?

yes you can, use a 3/8 tap and don't go to deep..

you can see mine underneath the fuel lines..

Hard to tell from the pic but is the IAT in the center on top behind the TB? Hmm, I kind of like that idea. I may have to do that with mine. Especially since the intake is still off currently.

Where the IAT is shown is a good place, however the manifold is not very thick in that place. I made a round slug out of pvc and epoxied it in place. I then drilled and tapped for the IAT

i drilled mine there and put the grommet and plastic iat sensor in there like stock
