Default Alky controll install question

Stupid question, because i am having a problem mounting pump and have not seen anyone else mention. I went to put a screw in bracket grommet and it doesn't go through, and hits side of pump, so at an angle. I pushed through and that popped the grommet out! I assume you leave the bracket on pump since it is bolted from back. Any tips? Do I just start screwing through grommet and let bolt hit pump, but that will put it in at an angle?

Yes leave the bracket on the pump. The screws are really close to the pump but they will clear. Get one started then straighten it up and do the other side. It will be fine

Another issue. Turns out I have an electrical boost gauge instead of the normal mechanical. I have a distribution block attached in line on brake vacuum hose with an extra port I need to tap into.

So unfortunately I have to get a tube through firewall.
Think I should use the T that comes w kit and run a thin plastic tube (like on a mechanical gauge) out one side and block off other, then I think I can get it through gromet with other wires, then attach to another adaptor to fit I to distribution block?

Or use in line coupler and run a rubber tube through a hole I would need to dril in firewall, then to block? I really don't want to drill a hole.

Or does someone have a better idea?

just drill a hole then put some sealer around the hose and hole, when you put the hoses on make sure you use a zip tie it keeps them from slipping off.

You running a 2-bar MAP sensor in your car already? If so, tap into the green, center wire and run that inside to the controller and forget about the separate power supply, MAP sensor and vacuum line entirely.

I don't know, how would I tell? I assume it is the stock MAP.
Per Julio, he said since I have a 30 pound gauge, it must have a 3 bar for that, so would that help?

Brett is talking about the map sensor in the back of the intake manifold.

The gromet with the hood release cables is full. Is best place to drill for tube just above gromet?

I drilled into the fiberglass right next to it with a bug drill and ran the hose and all the wires through it. I can take a picture if you like.

Pics would be helpful. Which side of the gromet viewed from inside car?

No one around here has a nipple I need for distribution block. Sigh...will have to order one and wait.

I also run electric boost gauge, and have the MAP for Alkycontrol in the fender liner. That way no tubes have to go inside the car.
