Default TTIX + Nitrous

Anyone tried a small nitrous shot with the TTIX? Would it work or a bad idea?

What do you all TTIX guys think?

I have used nitrous with turbos in the past and will be using a small [35-75] Zex system with my STS setup after the new build.
I want to have it set up with an override switch on the shifter for instant use or with RPM and boost windows.
It absolutely ends any lag probelms you might have with a turbo and is the best intercooler you can get [as long as you dont run out]
One of the fastest street cars I knew of ran huge turbos and no intercooler. Had a two stage NOS Cheater set up in reverse of the usual setup, with a 200 shot off the line and 100 after 10lbs of boost.

We have used nitrous on boosted cars a few times... Our tbss has an F1R on 19 psi and 100 shot. The tune has to be spot on though or it will be a bad idea.

I ran nitrous before TTiX. I was tempted to keep it, but was told I wouldn't need it. Pretty much proved true. I've made all the power I can handle with just boost. Why not just run more boost?

Fwiw I sprayed on a fox 5.0 with s-trim. It rocked, and made twice the power it was jetted for. Like a 75hp shot picked up 15mph, lol.

Do you think its better to run 18-20lbs of boost or say 12lbs + 100 shot nitrous. What would work better on the track?

Thanks

Hey Fran....if I ever decide to go that route, would I need to change anything in my motor or gaskets or anything?

3-4psi should make about 100rwhp. It's just easier to go there first. If you sprayed you probably want at least colder plug. N2O makes so much TQ off the line, I expect you'll also have trouble hooking it.

As strong as your car ran on 11 psi, I would kill to know what it would run on 20-21 psi.... Just turn the **** man and let it eat... Put a Q16 fuel in it for safety... You probably have another 250hp in it and the turn of the ****...

DO IT!

It would work great, but I'd rather do neat stuff with a boost controller if I'm not having lag/spool issues. No bottle to fill and just less complexity imo.

I wish it was as easy as turning the ****. I am sooo damn frustrated with this turbo smart eboost 2 controller. It has never worked for me as advertised. I am taking it to a local tuner and see if he can figure out the issues.

It's complicated to grasp, but it works very well once you do. I've read the manual many times. If you have any questions lmk.

Appreciate the offer. I wish you were closer and I would just drive my car over. I am trying to find someone local who can help me.
