Default Throttle body rec?

'02 LS1 with a V3-Si about to go on. Currently have a ported TB on there with the drilled hole through the throttle plate (done back in '02 before idle tuning was sorted out). Car runs great N/A since I tuned it with EFI Live back then - no idle or running issues.

What would be the recommendation on the TB in this setup - keep current or swap for something different?

If it works good na. Leave it. Most around here dont mess with bigger throttle bodies if it gets swapped usually just a 90mm tb. Id like to see if there's anything to be had with a 102mm tb swap.

Other than harder to tune. Very little from what I was told not worth the money diff's at all. I am thinking saw someplace in here are YB or ls1 was under 5 hp... Arun ran with a 78 on his set up for a long time befor running are going to the 90mm... Robert

Leave it the way it is. Stock LS6 intake and TB work great.

Most don't even need a drilled hole since drive by style is easier to adjust in the tune than the cable type most of the time.

I've heard that they were hard to tune and that they didn't offer much of a performance gain over a 90mm TB. was that 5 HP gain on a N/A combo?

I'd like to see the difference on a healthy 400+ cubed FI application though.
