Default Engine build details (update)

Getting the final details worked out on the forged shortblock build. Any suggestions?

Going with -3 cc Diamond or Wiseco pistons to achieve around 10.6 cr with 62 cc heads
Forged h beams rods.

ARP 2000 rod bolts

Stock crank

Question; What rings do I need to go with for 14lbs boost?

Make sure your pistons are set up for boost and just get the rings from them on what they sell as a package deal. I went with the hellfire rings with my set up.

do yourself a favor and do an iron block instead.. 3.905 is the most you can go on a 5.3 and its very thin on a aluminum block.. either going to do it now ...or later... esp with that gap.. going run some bigger boost

Thanks Josh
I REALLY want to stay with an aluminum block to keep the same set up as it came with. I have already added the blower weight on the nose, and just like the idea of the aluminum block
I am only going to play with it. I put approx. 3000 miles a year on the car, cruising, short trips, etc., and never go to strip (too far away )
I am very concerned about the .031 gap recommended. I am seeing around .019 recommended by the piston guys.
