Default C6Z fuel pump upgrade

Ok guys finally got my fuel pressure gauge installed and did some WOT pulls finishing my street tune up. My fuel pressure was dropping into the 40s(still dont have the blower on yet just bolt ons and cam). Been looking at fuel system trying to decide on one. First i want to know if the c6z pump is a direct drop in replacement since my stock pump is from 2003 and is due to be changed. I know C6Z have been in the 800rwhp range with just a BAP. I already have ID850s. Plan as of now is the c6z pump, racetronix harness and a 40amp KB BAP. All that i can get for less than $600. Who has done it and how much power will it handle. I know i at least have to swap my stock pump before adding any external pumps, hobbs switch, pressure regulator etc.... BTW car is a 2003 so it has the newer style fuel pump location. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have 2004 my first fuel pump upgrade was c6z06 pump with a KB BAP. and hot wire kit and #60 injectors,it just drops in! car was 750rw but I had meth too.

After my new blower (YSI) I added a external areomotive 1000 pump with -10 and -8 return lines with a regulator and fuel rails with #83 injectors + way more meth now its around 900rw.

I really think your stock pump is ok, If you just get the ECS or A&A fuel system thats what I would do! way less labor!! I know its more for the external kit but you will save on labor.

Just my option.

Why do you have lots of miles on the car? a secondary fuel system will carry you well over 800rw and Im not crazy about boosting my intank pump! If you loose a secondary pump u can still drive home. If you burn up a boosted stock or zo6 pump your stranded! that just my thinking its you choice

64k miles. I will eventually add a secondary fuel system but want a foundation that will last.

Why would you mess around and boost your primary pump? add a secondary pump, hobbs switch and throw a boost a pump on your secondary pump if you have too. dont go messing around boosting the crap out of a stock primary pump cuz if you kill it, you will be stranded.

just my 2 cents.
