Help, Fuel Pump Issue
Hey guys. Looks like I lost my fuel pump yesterday. I was warming up the car, idle, when it died. Wouldn't start again. Check fuel pressure at the rail and nothing. Checked the fuse and I could see where it was getting hot but it didn't break the link. I replaced the fuse, nothing. Checked and replaced relays, nothing. The pumps have a shop made harness that copies the racetronix one. The grounds were good and the alternator was giving 12v with the car off. Tried giving the pump direct 12v and nothing either. The wire I used to try to hot start them got hot. Short? I'm thinking the pump is dead? I have never messed with the fuel system but the shop used a dual pump set up, two 255lph pumps I believe. Any ideas? What you guys think? Any advice is welcomed. Don't know whether to just replace the pumps or get a whole new setup.

Yeah I'm thinking there's a short somewhere. Maybe something got hot and shorted. Gonna throw it on the rack in the morning to get a good look. Still yesterday we couldn't find anything in the harness on the driver side. Haven't looked at the passenger side pump.
