Default ALKY kit install question

I have a ECS ALKY kit I am installing, and have a question for the guys here that are using that kit.
First off, I am going to a SD tune
What would be the best route to go when installing the Bar 2 Map? I was told once to use the Map Bar 2 sensor that came in my kit, and mount it under the dash close to Mechanical Boost Gage, use a T for the vacuum, and then run the Green to original green wire on the original Map on the back of the motor behind the intake.
Then I was told it would be much easier for me to just replace the original Map, and use a Map Bar 2 from a Cobalt.

Both options seems to have the same outcome, but which is easier?
Thanks

If you have the plastic line already under the dash to feed the boost gauge.. then this is the easier route.
Some will also argue doing this prevents any back feeding in the event the alky controller loses ground or?? So it keeps your peas and carrots separate. That way there cannot be any cross interference between the ecu and alky kit.
My own car, I use the same MAP for both purposes.
Hope this helps,

Everyone calls it the map but the sensor we use for our corvettes is the cobalt barometric pressure sensor. Make sure you are getting the right part number

Default Bar 2

Thanks for the responses.
First off, the Cobalt pressure sensor is only around $50 bucks, so I do not mind spending the money. Just looking for the easiest way to get this done. I do have the Mech gauge and boost line in the car, and it would be very east to T into it, but then I think I have to run the green wire from the (MAP that came in the ALKY kit) out under the hood to the Green lead wire that is on the factory Map on the rear of the intake. I am asking if this is easier than just spending the $50 and installing to Cobalt sensor on the rear of the intake? Also, if I did go with a Cobalt sensor, would I need to remove the intake, or can it be changed with the intake in tacked?
I will be going with a SD Tune seeing that I am running 12 lbs of boost.

Help me out guys, this is the first of many questions and learning curves I will have after going ECS Forced Induction.
Thanks for any input.
