Hello, I have a procharger psc1 supercharger and it came with the small bosch bov, I had a Tial Q 50mm flange weld on my pipe just after the blower and installed the bov with the 2psi supercharger spring and when I get on it it seems like the bov is slow to close and my car always sounds like a large vacuum cleaner, I thought when I rev it up the valve should close and then release when I let off, my question is would a stiffer spring make the bov close faster. Thank you.
Tial Q is a loud BOV. Look at your vacuum/ boost gauge when you rev it, BOV doesn't close unless you are below the 2 psi spring. Revving it you're most likely not going to hear much of it closing.
tial is crazy loud, almost annoying thus why i installed a second one. its still ridiculous but i can tolerate it now.
ive driven past people with there windows open and they quickly plug there ears lol
I take it that it will really depend on the blower? My friend's D1 and now F1 set up on his GTO with Big Red was always quite a bit louder than the Tial Q on my P1 both 10psi.
Heres an old clip of his with D1 and Big Red. Crazy loud
I ran the Tial on my T-trim and then the Ysi which I still have and it didn't make a difference. Then I switched to the big red and it's a lot quieter. You can still hear it but it's less annoying IMO

Gotcha. Do you have the open or closed unit with big red? That also makes a difference right? His is open.
can we get a video cause of the big red on your cars cause now you all are starting to make me rethink and get the red. i have heard a red on a mustang and it was loud as sh*t and annoying.
Mine closes right away and gets quiet, with anything more than just light throttle. When I had a boost leak, it sounded like what you describe. I thought the BOV was not closing, but it was a leak in tubing.
I asked this same question when I installed my Trial in place of the stock small BOV. It is almost annoying at part throttle, so I figured people would think I had a HUGE air leak. You get used to it, and when it "pops off" when you lift the throttle, EVERYBODY looks up.
