TVS2300 compatible hoods
Trying this out in the FI section. Ive decided on a maggie supercharger. Im first trying the get the right hood installed. Can anyone give me a list of hoods available that will work for the Magnusion TVS2300 kit?
I want to go with carbon fiber since there will be a weight reduction rather than another fiberglass hood. So far VIS's 3" cowl is the only one I know for sure will fit. But Im more interested in the lowest possible hood I can get to keep a sleek appearance. I like VIS's SCV style, which according to them, is a 1.5" raise in the center.
Now that you have a basic idea of what Im after Ill ask a technical question that Ive been trying to figure out. Does anyone know how high the stock engine is from pan to intake? The guy I talked to at Magnusion said that the engine is 10" high with the Maggie. So how much higher is that than stock? This may help me pick a hood.
Im not sure if the guy was confused on what he said.. 10" doenst seem like the height of the engine form pan to the top of a maggie.. ??? But I asked again and he confirmed it..
