Default Intercooler Recommendations

My F1C Procharged 427 retains the twin intercoolers that came with the kit in 2006; my tuner tells me that they are restricting the combo, even at 12 psi. I'd like a recommendation for a large, single cooler that will free up more power. BTW, I'm currently at 903 at the wheels on 93 octane and meth.

Treadstone makes one too. Supposedly they're significantly lower quality than ESC or A&A but its a cheaper option.

anyone ever use the twin turbo intercooler for a single supercharger and cover up the one side of the intercooler with a BOV?

If you can get the one from ECS that is made in the US. It is the biggest one that I know is made that will fit from frame rail to rail in the car. Robert

just make sure to specify the big one... it's a 3" inlet on the passenger side and 4" outlet to the tb... they make them with a tial flange on the driver side but I'm sure you could have them leave that end sealed off if you want to put you bov in a different spot

Correct, it's a US core and the rest is made/bent/welded here. The US cores are significantly more expensive. The flow can be recreated, or close to it with a China core, but the quality of the core and the corrosion resistance is substantially different, like the price tag..

I don't see the logic in buying an expensive car and modding it with cheap (made in China) parts. If you're gonna do that then why not get yourself a nice used Dodge Neon, throw some green wheels on it (camber them way out), add a large bore fart-can muffler and kick some azz

But, then again, anytime I list something for sale on here, I get low ball offers for less than half of what I'm asking. So, I can see the market for "Made in China"

I finally got to hold the old version you guys just sent me it's a work of art. The welds are real nice and it utilize's every available inch of space in the car.

I agree with your comment, however quite a big difference in price 2-3 times though, thats the problem. Everyone loves to buy US made but not at 3 times more price.
