ATI P-1SC Dyno numbers just in
Just Got back from Breathless in S Fl, and got some nice results!!! My 99 coupe A4 has BPP long tube headers, Corsa exhaust (cat back & x-pipe), throttle body coolant bypass, beru plugs, MSD wires, 172 stat, ati perf racing balance, P-1SC kit w/ 38lb injectors, and other stage 2 goodies. During the first 1-2 runs on the Dyno in 3rd gear (on an auto), we got 425 rwhp and then the main belt broke, according to Ernie they were up tp 6300 rpm and hitting it real hard! After a new belt and some dyno tuning (more like tweaking), Ernie got the car to 452 rwhp and 433rw torque (As measured on the "Mustang" Dyno)!! The car is a beast and I'm very happy with the install. Not bad for a near stock car! Now all I need is a line lock and some drag radials. Any reccommendations on drag radials that will fit on the old 18x9 rear rims?

'Dem ATIs make power :)
Do you still have a stock converter? I was interested to see what a car would run with an ati/stock converter if it hooked decent.

Yes still have the stock converter. The quality of the install seems to make a huge difference and the guys with the problems should take note.

urslooow,
You referred to your power #'s being made on a "Mustang" dyno. I often hear some of you guys say that. What are the differences in a "Mustang" dyno and other dynos?? Just Curious! Thanks! :seeya

If i remember right the mustang dynos read a little less then a dynojet. That was years ago though, I think some shops recalibrate them to be closer to dynojets. Been a while, I could have it backwards :)

As I recall, the Mustang reads the highest numbers, the Dynojet reads lower than the Mustang and the Dynapack reads 10 to 15 hp lower than the Dynojet...
Be sure to look at my sig to see which dyno I used.... ;)
vetterdstr
Now that you have done that... add 15 more HP and TQ to my numbers please!! :blueangel:

You can make them read higher or lower, it is up to the operater to adjust the dyno to match the others. A few months ago we had a car club dyno here then go to a Dynojet dyno on the west coast of Fl. Numbers were within 4 HP. The main issue is the gain of power between the differant runs. That number will always be a true HP gain.
Enjoy the car Steve
Thank You

Thanks Ernie I'm very happy with the install, the dyno tune and of course the way the car runs as you can see from my enthusiastic posts!! I may have a couple of more guys for the P-1SC-1 for you, once again great work!
