I was till experiencing low boost on my STS system. I would see around 6-7 PSI when spooling. I had replace Wastegate, Air bridge & coupling and BOV diaphragm. Still not getting system to spool fast enough. I did a complete search of tubing and found the issue. The pipe out of the turbo that goes up to the intercooler has a few brackets welded to it. On each turbo the pipe bolts to a spot where the muffler hanger used to be in the very back behind the bumper.
Apparently last year this chick tapped my back end and torqued these pipes behind the bumper. The bracket on each pipe had broken off leaving a gaping hole where the bracket had been welded on to the pipe. I will replace these pipes in the near future but for now I patched the holes with JB Weld steel stick and now the system spools up normally and hits 10 PSI no issue.
I hope that didn't hurt your turbos. They over spin when they have boost leaks such as that one.
It wasnt a tranny it was this cute little Asian girl. She fell asleep at the stop light and rolled into my bumper. The bumper had some crinkled paint but I never saw the broken brackets when I was inspecting the damage. I f I had I would have had the insurance company pay for the damages turbo pipes.
