Tune Splicing

from what I understand the year of the ECM has to fall within a similar range to be compatible with the transmission controls
so my question is, can the tuning tables from one tune be baselined in a more modern computer with HP Tuners?
seems like adding the auto tranny control tune would be easy to splice them together can that be done?
if so who would you recommend. winter build are a commin!

the PCS paddles look really solid the way they go on a plate behind the steering wheel
not a fan of the GM column and paddles
need something a bit more sturdy and nice looking
I'm ready to give up the air bag and change the steering wheel too
like ron white says "make sure you hit something hard, I don't want to have to limp away from this"

the early paddle shift stuff was terrible what I've driven lately impressed me I ran around in a stock 2013 and the shifts felt really responsive and crisp
this guys been driving the car on the track alot and claims that a lightly reprogrammed tune was all it took
all I can say is I was impressed overall with the performance, the seats, and the better quality
haven't been in a c7 yet, and I'll wait for the 8spd auto and see what that's about
that has been the one disappointing thing about the auto conversion. the tranny needs more programming to keep from lugging the engine all the time.
I can fix that with some throttle, but then the car hauls off too fast when the boost hits
hard to just crooze around at 2200 rpms, shifts are way too economy biased and early like to reprogram it and see what it will do
