Those are some bad bitches.
I'm planning for new tires next year, with max traction in mind. Still on the fence between those 275 Pro's with new control arms, or Hoosier 28x14.5x16 on my CCW's with fender flares. What's your thoughts on it?

If you already have the spindles, the choice is obvious... 275 pros on 15s.. The tires are leaps and bounds better then anything else on the market.

If I was going to race my car more then a couple times a year, I'd make the jump to 15s as well..

There is cars all over the place down here going 1.2x 60s on the 275 pros..

That's encouraging about the 275's. I haven't seen them and trying to compare them with the big Hoosier 28x14.5x16. The tread width of the 275 is listed as 9.8", vs a full 12" for the Hoosiers. That's over 4" more rubber on the ground for the Hoosier set. Still speculation for what I think works... I'll need spindles or fender flares either way.

No, just that size

It was special made for the X275 Drag Radial Class, it's not really street legal either

All depends on track prep, radials will spin quicker than slicks & won't recover like a slick

(can't drive through a spinning radial like a slick)

No doubt, and I plan on doing some no prep races next year.

I carry both, radials & slicks in my trailer, pending on track prep which ones will be the spares

Radials are mounted on bead lock rims & slicks are mounted on cheap Weld Pro Star rims with tubes & rim screws

In the long run, 15" rims & tires are cheaper than 16"

thats a GREAT 60 ft considering you are walking it out

why such a low RPM for the launch? a bit more stall on the conv (like 4k) leaving harder at 3k RPMs or more with the right tires will get you there!!

much of this is shock tuning and weight transfer

have you unhooked the front sway bar?

just unbolt the links and zip tie it out of the way, or remove it for weight savings

every little bit helps

Yes, but they are called 275 amateurs, just call Summit or Jegs and tell them that's what you're looking for, they will hook you right up Scott.

I tried stalling it up more but spun off the line. Looks like I need to get some of these 275 Pro's everyone is talking about! And that means spindles... so I guess that can be something for the spring season. Now I'm really curious just how close I can get to that 5.99 just by addressing my tire and launch situation (before turning the boost up). And sway bar is still in place with end links connected.
