I have a novi2000 that you can only hear if your really listening for it. The car does have a cam and flowmasters to distract you.

i have a novi 2000 it is quiet but not self contained like the 1500..1500 can make up to 800 rwhp also so i think the 1500 suits his needs better

I like the engine fed set ups best. You alway get new oil at oil changes. Drilling the pan is no big deal. Rod

I would do an engine oil fed supercharger also. I don't like the idea of being self contained with just a little bit of oil circulating in the blower.

i have the 1500 and yes its quite going down the hwy it sounds just like any other C5 vette, with just a hint of a whine...however lower RPM's it sounds like a jet wanting to take off and I love that sound, IMO its the best bang for the buck S/C kit you can get!

hi

iv had this vehicle for a few days only and have never worked on it, but removing oil pan seems like quite a project to me (do you have to remove the cross member?). paxton has novi sl 1500 and 2200. would 2200 build boost earlier and recquire an intake restrictor to max out at 7-8 psi? are there any other self lubricating units out there?

it seems to me, that the "kits" dont include a boost referenced fp regulator. how do you tune the engine without one?

does anybody know where to get compressor maps?

this will be a strictly street vehicle, everything stock (i got it because it so inexpensive for what you get), so i dont ever want to see more than 500/500 output from it. dont want bo break anything ever.

btw, what injectors are on the ls1 engine and what hp is the stock pump good for?

regards

roman

The Novi 1500 Kit from ECS and Vortech V3si kit from A&A are both quiet units that will easily supoort over 600 rwhp. These both are great kits with good people behind them. The extra fueling needs etc will come with the kit including injectors which are usually 60lbs in the kits.

You do not need an aftermarket regulator as your stock one is sufficient to a certain point past 600 rwhp. For your HP goal you simply need a boost a pump and 60 lb injectors which both come in the kits.

I would highly recommend the racetronix harness as an extra outside either kit

Both A&A and ECS make a great kit-you can't go wrong with either.
They both come 60lb injectors and a fuel pump or boost a pump depending on model year.

Send me a text if you want a great price on either kit.

Romandian, you don't remove the pan to drill for the fitting. When you pin the balancer to the crank, you will have room to drill and thread the pan. The A&A kit comes with the drill, fitting and I believe the threading die. Call or email Andy @ A&A Corvette and he will include what you need along with good instructions. Good guy to do business with. ECS I'm sure will be great also. Rod

The "drill bit" is actually a rotobroach that cuts a circle in the pan instead of drilling material out from the center. If done correctly there are minimal shavings left which get flushed out when you change the oil prior to starting the motor the first time.

i appreciate your input, but i dont get it. if drill or rotobroach, there will be chips. how do you flush out cold oil? chips will stay where they are. so one has to hope, they get filtered away. well, they probably will. still a scrary scenario for me.

If you look up the instructions on A&A's website it explains the process for removing excess shavings. I have been running mine like this for almost 4K miles with no ill effects, as I am sure many others are as well. After installing the blower and drilling the pan I drained my oil, added a magnetic drain plug and put a magnet on my oil filter for the first 500 miles and then I drained it again just to be safe.
