My ATI kit is on its way. :D I am getting a boost and fuel pressure gauge but don't know where to put them. I think putting them on the a-pillar is asking for trouble. Maybe ashtray? I want them kind of out of direct sight. Ideas?
I put my boost and fuel pressure in a dual-pod on the A-pillar and the AF gauge in the space where the ash tray is. I have not gotten into any "trouble" with them on the pillar.
I have not gotten my gauges yet, but have been thinking that the ash tray/lighter area would be pretty good. Possibly even behind the flip up cover if there is enough room. I was thinking about fabricating a lexan mounting plate?
The pillar pod would provide much better visibility, but I also like the idea of keeping them hidden away.
I'm assuming you mean challengers on the street whey you say "trouble". I think most would be clued by the sound of the SC even if you had the gauges hidden.
Actually by "trouble" I meant Police officers and vandels/thieves. I got pulled over last week for exhibition of speed. He let me go and just told me to slow it down. But I know they are cracking down on street racing and have been instructed on what to look for on these cars such as extra gauges or gauges on the a-pillar.
I ordered it from Summit Racing's on-line order center. It is a direct fit. At the time, they had the cheapest price of anywhere I looked and they had them in stock.
Wouldnt u want to have those gauges in direct view like on the A-pillar, I sure wouldnt want to have to look down to the ashtray to see if I was achieving proper boost at WOT! Just a thought.

I have the boost and fuel pressure in the A-pillar in direct eye-line. The less critical (and accurate) AF meter is the only one in the space where the ash tray used to be.

:yesnod: Just ordered mine with the gauges today from them. The pod is part ATM-12192
