On my 2001 Yamaha I have a Turbo. Now because the engine has an operating range from 2000-12,000 rpm to get good boost through out the range we chose to oversize the turbo, and use a electronic wastegate to regulate the pressure. This means that I get 6psi from 6000rmp till 12000rpm.
Why can't we do this on our corvettes? With an electronic waste gate you could run a 10lb pulley and regulate it to 7psi. This would give you 7 psi much earlier than without the controller. This also alows you to adjust boost on the fly.
Why aren't any of the supercharger kits using this kind of technology? I know you would be running a little higher parasitic loses, but the earlier power delivery would be worht it no?
