Tune after trans install?

Tune after trans install?
Will my car need a new tune after new a4 and stall from RPM? Car was tuned with stock a4 and astro van tc now will be level 6 RPM with 3300 stall.

I would vote for yes. The wot shift points may remain the same but the torque converter lockup and part throttle shift points will more than likely need to be changed some, due to the higher stall speed. Also to take full advantage of the built trans all of the torque management can be removed and shift pressures maxed along with shift time being zeroed out. That is if it isn't that way on the current tune.

So can the tune wait till I get it on dyno? the new motor was tuned via email back and fourth to Mike Norris. It was to be dyno tuned next time he came to florida but trans went bad first and I missed him last trip.

I know it is hard to believe, but it was time for it to go, seriously though I was planning on new trans and tc, I was hoping stock trans and that tc would last more than a week while I saved for the heavy duty stuff, but it didn't !
