OK now answer me this, what is the fascination with track times?
Lets say your car is capable of 11.5 on slicks on a prepped track...HOW OFTEN DO YOU DIRVE YOUR CAR THERE?
say you do 500 passes on a track  (having no life) at 11 seconds a pass...this equals 5750 seconds of driving or 95.83 min or 1 hour 35 min and 8 seconds of driving, now thats someone who is fanatical about racing most people dont put more then 100 or so passes on their car...
now of the total time you drive your car you can replicate the #'s you brag about under certain tack conditions, yet this is what you brag about, no problem with it if all you do is driving your car on a track, but for a street car this means that 99.99995% of the time you drive your car you cant pull these numbers out of your car
Its like having NOS hooked up in your car, your fast for a bottle then your back to normal...but what are you going to say when someone says how fast is your car? "well once every few weeks for a few brief seconds i can make my car go this fast"
This is like a 70 year old guy saying he can bench press 350lbs...maybe he could have but show me now :yesnod:
This what i have just explained to you is what makes me laugh....some guy comes up to me cause he ran 12 something at the track with his mustang, i walk him on the street and he's like wow!!! what do you have done to that, not believing that its mostly stock...
now what good is an 11 second car if you get beat by a 13 second car when he pulls up next to you..
When someone comes up to me after a pull or a run and says you beat me, but my car "did this before" i roll my eyes
just a little rant, cause of all the BS that supercharged cars aren't fast...meet me on the highway where most of the dirivng is done and tell the owner his/her car is slow and they wasted their $
When you live, breath, & sleep (on weekends) at the drag strip like our family does....it is all down to 100th of a second. Nothing else matters!
YOU seriously need a girlfriend Rob!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring your 13sec car and I will race you with my 11sec car and show what track #'s mean. Also, why ya catching feelings about a slow Dyno Queen S/C car??? It's not even yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But make sure you bring that car up next time to play!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D
YOU seriously need a girlfriend Rob!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and a life......!!!!!
maybe if you stop hanging out at nanuet you could get a girlfriend....
ohh and while your at it.....get a fast car too.... 13's.........damn...my wife could beat that in my benz......
Wow, now i have just realized i am far inferior to you because my car is slower... and i dont know how to talk to women....and i dont spend my weekends at the track...
I guess i am just a grasshopper waiting to learn your mantis styles
Brent the day you feel i am jealous of you, relish the thought cause you obviously read something wrong
I think what people might be referring to re: poor track #'s is that some centrifugal superchargers put down great numbers on a dyno with a LIGHT load. But when you drive the car under a HIGHER load on the street moving 3400+ lbs you can have more belt slippage. While your belt didn't slip on the dyno, you slip on the street while driving. The HP seen on the dyno is lost and you don't have the power you think you had, resulting in poor track times.
