I will always keep my vette!
But am thinking about adding a different type of car into my garage .
Do you know of any forums that I can read about the cars listed above ?
Also does anyone know if it takes same amount of cash for these other cars to be modified ?

I have an SL65, I think the car is great. There are not a lot of mods available for the car. Software upgrades for eng and trans are available at about 2K. Once you start looking for more serious mods the cost go up steeply. $20K gets you about an additional 100 hp after the first $2k. Also when you break parts its 5-12 times the cost of the corvette.
It really depends on what you are looking for in the next car/ setup
GTR- take a look at what AMS (alpha Omega car) has accomplished
It is quite impressive. This car and the SL65 will be the most different experience from the vette. The GTR will be easy to drive faster than any of the other cars mentioned. It will be moderately cheap to get some decent power out of. With a few bolt ons and a tune with some more boost added you can get to 500-600HP and have a incredible machine.
Viper- This will end up feeling most like a modified vette out of any of the other cars. It has its own uniqueness to its styling and raw tourque. But it has more of a brutal feel and is not as easy to drive fast. Modifications are similar to a Vette with either FI mods or bolt ons.
SL65- I do not have as much experience with this car. But as the previous poster mentioned it will be much more expensive to mod and from my friends that have them they prefer to keep them stock. As there are other cars to "Mod" for performance that make more sense.

I have an SL65 Black Series and had 2 Cl65s, and would agree with this. The V12 is perfect as is, and with nothing more than a tune, it's a torque monster. I wouldn't waste money on modding such a heavy car beyond just a tune at most.....it's a luxury cruiser, so I would just enjoy it as such. If you're a modaholic, stick with a Vette or GTR.
Check out the AMG forums at MBworld.org for much more info. If you want to mod a Benz, the E55 guys on that board have done it all, and it's cheaper than the V12 by far...
