Default Nitrous Progressive Controller. NX or NOS? Or?

I am about to bite the bullet on a NOS plate kit. I can get a good discount on the kit through my work. My plans were to spray somewhere between a 75-150 shot.
I was interested in getting a progressive controller to go along with my kit to help with the activation and maybe increase the safety and reliability of my nitrous setup.
So far the two controllers that have caught my eye are the NX Maximizer 4 and the NOS mini progressive controller. The NOS mini I can also get a discount through my work as well.

What are you guys running on your nitrous setup? Would the Maximizer be a little overkill for just a max of a 150 shot?

I am running the Leash Electronics Progressive controller.... Pretty sweet. The remainder of my set up in Nitrous Express... top notch!

We run the NOS mini and like it. Simple, easy to work with, lots of features and effective.

The NOS Mini and the Maximizer are in 2 different classes. The Mini is just a great, basic controller that is dead reliable and easy to use. If you wanted to compare something more realistic to the Maximizer, look at the NOS Launcher. It's a great setup. easy to use and program, and offers a lot of features. If you have any questions about the controllers, feel free to PM me!

The NX maximizer is the biggest pile of junk I have ever used. We had two bad units sent to us out of the box and finally ditched it for the NOS equal. I realize they are in this thread and can pm me if they wish but we had a terrible experience w/ it cost us a big deadline for an event, and their tech support was lack luster as well.

The Maximizer 4 is the best controller on the market bar none.

I've had 2 personally, both have worked flawlessly, and I've had 2 friends who have them that have had the same experience.

Thanks for the help!

I really appreciate all of the input from you guys.

I've been looking around more and doing my homework. I am going with the NX Max 4 as it has some more features that I know I would use.

sure thing, allow me to exchange this basically new controller w/ no harness for a full refund. Because we had to make a very important deadline we had to use your harness and make the nos controller work and use it. There simply wasn't enough time to pull that harness out and redo it with the nos harness. The distributor I purchased it from Atech won't let me for obvious reasons.
