Got the front wheels installed, been waiting on the rear tires to show up and they didn't soon enough. Glad they didn't as my friend Karlen came through with a cheap set of NT05's for me that will work perfect.

looks they have good amounts of tread on them. Should get better traction with them as well vs the 555. I'd stay out of the rain lol.

Nick those tires are gonna last you all of one week when you can finally start relaxing and beating on the car.

I won't be out in the rain in this car much I would not assume.

Nt05's should last a good 5-6000 miles. I got 5 out of the cobalt. And actually did surprisingly good in wet conditions, not the most sticky tire out there.

I was thinking the same. I have the 555R's for the 15's that I will run around on some as well. Just want it to stick.

Default I am back in another C5, of course with a blower

Got the tires mounted and balanced today. We have been busy at work so played catch up from a long weekend yesterday.

They are beefy.

Sat the car back down on all 4s as well. Damn it's dirty.

Picked up a fresh set of plugs and wires as well and threw them on. The shorter ls3 wires I had just didn't fit well and I wanted to use my header boots.

Also finished up all the interior wiring and put the interior all back together so it looks like a car again. I will snap some pics tomorrow.

Next time look for the ataylor 05+ GTO wires. They're a little longer than LS wires and dont have the connection issues those MSD wires do

I knew I should have asked you first. The Taylor's I had were ls3s I think and just didn't work well had to stretch them.

Went underneath and was doing some inspection, and found this....

Luckily I was able to find the proper bolt at the local Hardware store. Could have been a huge issue.

Got the new cradle installed, have some work to do to make all the catch cans and trans cooler mounted.

Wow... Just wow..

Pretty much everything the previous owner had done to that car was just sh*t... Some shoddy a$$ work for sure.

Glad you are fixing it up proper.

On the coupler bolt, start the car and let it warm up a while, then torque the bolt. I don't remember the spec, maybe 75 ft lbs when it's all hot. Obviously with lock tite.

Well I bought it as a project per se so I knew I had things to fix. Some of it has just been a suprise on this recent stuff. Going to get it off the lift bext week and to the fab shop.

I ended up dunking the bolt in loctite and torqued the sh*t out of it.

Curious to see what this car will run when you get all the bugs worked out.

Me too. Hope is to have it on the dyno next weekend working out the bugs.

Picked up a set of these for the radiator mounts, as the OEM ones are stupid expensive and Amazon had these for $22.

I wouldn't dyno the car with the 4l60. If you talk to RPM, they will tell you absolutely do not dyno it. After the pull is over and the dyno brake is applied, it forces the clutches to slip because there is low line pressure applied to the clutches since the TP% is 0. Basically you kill the clutches on decel. I'm not 100% sure I'm buying that theory but....they would know best. FYI..

You're gonna have to track tune it.

I sort of buggered up a built 200R4 in a GN on a dyno. Lucky for me it was an easy and cheap fix.

Damn Alan glad you are following along. But I know for a fact my tuner goes to neutral after a pull after having a bad experience with a 60e in the past.

No track close so street tuning is all.
