I feel your pain OP. Looks like the Flip Drives and their replacement parts are all dried up SMH. DAMN - just when I wanted one.

Yes they do and in my opinion it's the best one out there currently available. Let me qualify that statement.

I've ran DP "Direct Drive" it was good but Taylor don't make it anymore. They don't really even mess with corvettes anymore.

I've never ran the Cartek "Flip Drive" but I have seen it cause problems on other peoples cars with killing their accessories.

I currently have the A&A "Secondary Drive". I really like it. One of the things I like about it is that it uses a factory spring loaded tensioner for accessory belt tension. No chance on over tightening on the accessory side. The best price that I know of is from Bret aka Blownbluez06@RKTPerformance give him a shout.

My problem is that I'm not using AC so the cogged version is my best bet ATM.

Any of the aforementioned drive systems can be made to eliminate the AC Belt and have their respective Jack Shaft pulleys and Crank Pulleys (at lest the Innovators West Crank Pulley/Damper) modified to run a small cog belt instead of the AC. The cog mod can be had through ECS, though it seems that if you send in your own stuff (crank damper , drive system jack shaft pulley, and drive system smooth idler pulley) into ECS to get modified, it takes awhile. I heard through the grapevine that another vendor on here made a version of the cog mod as well. Though I have not been able to confirm this.

when you can't get help from the manufacturer then you have to be proactive and find a way to get it done... isn't that right Doug?

You're absolutely right, in this case we tried to get it, we even have paid 10k for these parts months ago and have nothing at the moment. So we have tried, and put the money out too.
We did not copy the parts because I think that's simply low class business tactics, but we may be forced now to make a completely new design so we can get the parts we need while not copying someone else's design.

I think it's great that he made it himself, cudo's to you!! I wish we could have helped more then we did although we certainly tried, it would be helping us at the same time.

Now lets see if he just enjoy's his car, or becomes one of the biggest babies this forum has seen in a while because he had to make something himself. Personally I highly doubt he will, it takes a "special" kind of person to act that way.

I have no dog in this fight but why is ECS responsible for Cartek not supplying replacement parts? As far as I know Cartek isn't even making the Flip Drive kits even more. I feel your pain all4spl and I would be frustrated and pissed.

Thank you, we even tried to help when we had nothing to do with it at all, but that's the Internet for ya.

no one said they were responsible and I agree, in this situation they aren't... some of us were commenting about their prior practices
