Default Exhaust issues....separating

Three times my exhaust has come apart? I already had it back to the shop this week and it came apart again! I have lg headers, gutted cats, x pipe and factory ti cat back, I think this time it's at the gutted cats. Is this a common problem with sc cars? Is my shop doing something wrong? Any suggestions are welcome, special clamps needed?

Thanks

I have superpros on my car and never had any problems like that... the worst part about them is the crappy clamps they provide... I didn't even bother trying to use them and immediately tossed them and they were replaced with these, http://www.jegs.com/i/Dynomax/289/33272/10002/-1 ... you should need 6 total to do the system all the way to the axle back... if your axle back has clamps similar to the ones supplied with the lg headers then you might consider replacing those as well with the appropriate size

Tack weld. Will never come apart and takes a second to cut off when necessary.

Never really took a pic of that specifically. You can sort of make it out in this one.

The over the axle part was slightly separating from the xpipe. One very small tack on each pipe and I never had this issue again. They have been on and off several times. Takes a second to cut it off, and to re tack it after.

Yeah. One tack anywhere that gets the two pieces. The clamp should still be going most of the work. The weld just makes it impossible to separate by itself.

Mine never came apart just always had ex. leaks! so now the mid pipe is one piece. You have to really put the mid pipe on the headers as far as it can go and tighten the snot out of it

Check your local Napa store for the EZ Seal brand. I've used those exclusively for years and never had issues. They usually run around $10-12 depending on area and store. Same thing as above essentially just a locally available option.
