I had my converter loosened up some, now I am on the rev limiter on the shifts. I did drop the mph & shift points trying to make the shift, but still not making it.
Question is for the guys in the 800 whp range with a 3500 to 3800 stall, how soon ( rpm ) are you commanding?
Car is a built 4l60e, supercharged, 3.15 gear, and making 800 rwhp.

I'm not on a factory TCM, but even with my PCS2000 controller, I have to command 6200 rpm shifts to get them in by 6500 ish. And going from 26" up to 28" tires will even effect it some.
I would just keep lowering your command shift point until it misses the limiter, although I think you have to adjust shift MPH also on the factory TCMs.
Thanks for responding. With the tight converter, I only needed a 200 rpm gap to make the shifts. Now with the loose converter, commanding it 500 rpm before will not make the shift. However, I did speak with Jeremy today at RPM Transmission, and he said that was to be expected with a loose converter. he told me to drop the shift point down to 5K to make the shift, and then raise it up from there.
Thanks for the input.
With the tight converter, settings was
1 - 2
6700 rpm
35 mph
2 - 3
6500 rpm
73 mph
Rev limiter set at 7000
Now with the loose converter we dropped the RPM command to 6500 and 6300.
Still hit the rev limiter. So now after talking to RPM, we will drop it more until we get a shift.

My RPM is set for 6000 and the MPH actually triggers the shift. For example the 1-2 is 37mph and 2-3 is 73mph. I can see the datalog commands the shift exactly on the mph which is roughly 6500, but depending on my boost setting, the RPM's don't actually drop from the shift until 200-700rpm later.
We're calling on the shift at 6600 and it's executed well before the 7000 RPM rev limiter. 3.15 gears. Brand new RPM 4l60e Level VII with a new Yank PY3600 converter. It's really loose in our combo. I'm thinking the actual shift will lag more as our transmission gets more runs on it. The 4l60e in my 2000 Camaro SS lagged more and more with each successive run on it until it wouldn't shift at all no matter when you called on the shift. Had to rebuild it after about 75 passes each time to keep it shifting and that was with only 483 to the tires. I did not use RPM for transmissions back then and should have.

nice! same tiger shark silver with stinger hood nice shot! rpm lvl 7 is holding up good so far after 4 years not too many drag strip passes but lots of enthusiastic street miles with 335 toyo ra1s it goes!!

RPM said I should probably refresh it once a year to stay on top of things. Upgrading to Level X next Winter anyhow when we take the power up over 1000. It shifts almost immediately after calling on the shift when it's new.
