Remote bottle opener doesnt work. Need Help
Well, im getting pretty tired of the remote bottle opener. My first problem with it is that i have to take it off everytime I fill the bottle. So the last time the nut finally went bad on the clamp from the bottle opener. I call NE they send me a new one, for $26. Can you believe that? Then I put it on, the bottle still wont open and the new clamp's nut is now already sorta stripped, after the first use. So I tried everything, but it wont open my bottle. Any suggestions? It seems like it too hard or too much torque is needed to open the bottle. Maybe WD-40, what do u think, have any of u had this problem?

The only problem I have with mine is if I hold the open button too long I can't get it back closed. Also after I fill my bottle I have to let the opener close it once installed or it will be too tight for the remote opener to open.

does that mean u leave it open with the bottle full? cause then i would have to put the remote opener on, tighten it down with the clamp, then try to close it, how much n2o do u lose?

why do you take the opener off the bottles? I just use a 12v drill battery (craftsman) to open and close the bottle. Put some butt connectors on the openers red & black wire. Make sure the male end is on the opener when you remove it, then touch the wires to the battery and it will open the bottle opener. To Close reverse polarity.

I will do the 12v battery thingie, but i cant get it to work now, thats my problem, the bottle opener doesnt open the bottle. Ive even left the bottle slightly open and then tried to put the opener on, it wont open it any further?

You need to take the bottle opener apart and tighten the clutch. Not hard at all to do. Over time the clutch needs to be adjusted...

WHY A Z-06 SLAVE INSTEAD OF THE ONE THAT COMES FROM SPECK/STAR
OK, lets see, after pulling the tranny 3 times in the last two weeks I can tell you. The z06 slave works!
After talking w/ spec on numerous occasions they never mentioned anything about a slave they make for the C5. :rolleyes:

Well its been a while but it is very easy to do.
You remove the four screws from the top. Then there should be a nut that you can tighten. I think you have to hold the other side(that actually turns the bottle) while you tighten the nut. I can take my extra bottle opener apart tommorrow to check for you if you cannot get it.

You are talking about the SLAVE right? Not the master. I have an mcloed adj. master now. Let me know how it turns out. Mine is still flawless, knock on wood!
