Default I can't win

This car has driven me crazy all year I maybe have 600 miles on it all year long. I take it out and it breaks and I grab my truck and trailer and head out to grab it bring the car to the shop and start all over again.

My most recent issue: I got together with ECS and they sent me some spacers and stuff I got it all on the car and didn't even make it a mile down the road and spit the belt off. I was tad confused because I couldn't find the belt on the road or under the hood so I thought "**** that thing shredded to small little pieces"

Fast forward to that weekend I put the car in the air at the shop and see a little piece of a belt hanging out from behind the balancer so I try to grab it and it is stuck. Long story short the balancer has to come off when I remove the balancer oil comes out with it and I find this:

I found the belt

Anyway I go to the car and look at the front main seal and it has a dent in it on top of the oil leak it's time to replace it. I pull the seal out and find this. Right where the dent was in the seal. This was a new deal and the timing cover was perfect 1000 miles ago when the new cam went in.

Anyway needless to say I have ordered a new timing cover, timing cover gasket and water pump gaskets. It's a shame I am happy with my cam because now would be the time to change it.

I hope everyone's luck is going better then mine. One day I will be done with these stupid issues.

They can be frustrating at times. I had to be "convinced" not to sell mine several times when issues keep popping up
Replace trans twice
Newer style PCM wouldn't run
Tuning issues that NO ONE understood
un-curable belt squeak
PS leak on my new flip drive
etc.etc
Like you, Ive only put around 1000 miles a year over the last couple of years
Just hang in there and maybe God will bless you for your trials

My friends are in the same boat trying to convince me not to sell it but I am close. I should have the new parts today so I will get to work on it this weekend and hopefully hear it run haha

The more you mod the more problems you have and we all know that yet seem to all push more and more. I have certainly had a few issues and my car still isn't perfect but hang in there.

I recently got nearly everything worked out and now I think my ac compressor is about to take a dump. Hang in there man you aren't alone.

hopefully you figure out the belt issue, the last thing you would want is it to do the same thing all over again after putting it back together

I feel ya.....I have struggled with just returning mine to stock and selling it multiple times. WHen you start modding - especially heavily modding - you have to accept that things are gonna go wrong or break from time to time.

Don't give up man...I had the same problem on my 335...the belt breaks and it takes out the front timing cover...oil everywhere.

Just be patient and you will get the car to where it needs to be someday.

They're getting older so things will go wrong often but they're easy to diagnose and fix and the parts are cheap. You can't beat that. I'll never sell mine. I love it more with everyday that goes by.
