T56 experts
Who makes a T56 rebuild kit? The gearbox has them in back order. Is the T56 in Camaro/Firebird/Viper the same?http://www.hawksmotorsports.com/t56-...me-parts-only/

no, they are not the same. The camaro/firebird/viper use a double/single cone synchro while the Corvette uses a triple/double cone synchro.
There have been supply problems over the last few years for the triple/double cone synchro blocking rings and friction cones.

there is no way in hell that will work. For starters, that is a double/single synchro transmission. Second, that is the wrong mainshaft since the transmission bolts TO the differential.
A Camaro/Firebird/Viper kit WILL NOT work. The parts will not physically fit. The gears and such are all different in a triple/double synchro trans than they are in a double/single synchro trans.
