First half mile event in the books for the new setup. In 93 degree air it did a best of 189.71! Pretty happy for the first time out in terrible conditions and high DA. I can taste that C5 half mile record And this is a true street car, ac, stock style intake manifold, full stereo (sub in the back) blue tooth, etc.

Thank you! Record is 191.3, it's an f1x cog Drive car, 427, with a high rise intake out the hood. I'm just a nice pretty street car give me good air and I'll do it. We just officially invited to Ti in the fall so we will be bringing this car and 3 others, one being our record holding Ctsv that does 190 in the half and is 100% full weight and interior.

wow, the ls9 rod is pricey, question for you guys, what is the long term durability of the TI rods?

I have a set of TI rods in an older LPE motor with 100k on it and and wonder what the replacement cycle is vs steel rods.

Very nice looking build, love the hood color choice and the oof dah should prove to be "ample"

No idea the durability on them not many zr1's have big power with high miles. I don't care honestly, these are not the same as the ls7 rods either, these are much stronger. Never heard of a set ever breaking nor a Ls9 crank so I wanted a different setup for fun and a light rotating assembly is important to me. I appreciate the kind words on the car everyone!

Pretty cool.

I'm looking at using OEM LS9 rods and crank for my turbo build.

I might give you a call to talk pistons.

Congrats on your first outing!

Joe I think that's the supercharged record, or so I'm told. Congrats!

Default ls9 rod

those rods look great, back in the day I think the LPE LT5 rods were 6400 for a set, but most of the modern TI rods I've seen are way cheaper.

The LS9 is such a stout motor, I have quite a few C6 ZR-1 friends and I always come away with a smile from those cars.

Quite stout.

for a cherry pop run that is fantastic

wow, nice build Joe, really look forward to more.

I finally got my bum A a job so I hope to pick up with my build soon.

If I can get anywhere near 190 I'll be thrilled!

Knocking on the door of the record is no joke!
