updated..updated Evening guys. I just joined the forum tonight and I wanted to say hello. My name is Dan Carlton and I currently own a 2002 Millenium Yellow Z06. I live in Southern California and my car is the Vortech Prototype car for the new Supercharger System they are realeasing in the next few months. I will post a few pics in the next few weeks after I get the finished polished unit on the car next week. Vortech has it and I will be getting it back by the end of the week. I have had the experimental system on for a few months and Vortech and me have been doing some testing and I will tell you the system is awesome and many fellow Z06 guys will love it I promise you. I have owned a few over the years and this new system is the cleanest underhood system I have used and is to be frank a real peice of art..click on the link and it will show the polished version almost finished installation..will give you the idea [IMG][/IMG] http://members.tripod.com/topgun1ice/
nice pic... look forward to more pics of the vortech as well as numbers.
that's what i like about vortech, when they make a system for a car... they make a clean looking system. when they make a system, somtimes you'd swear it was an OEM piece. and they do a good job on r&d and testing.
Yes I agree I have done several Vortec installs with excellent results. Their kits are first class & well designed. I don't understand why they have taken so long, especially with the interest on the C-5 market, They lost a lot of busness to ATI. & magnacharger. I think that the acquisition of paxton probably diverted a lot of attention to that venture, I trust that the wait was worth it.

Re: Vortech Supercharger (top1gun)
Dan, welcome to the forum. I live about 5 miles from you, am acquiring an ATI, and would like to get a ride in the new test car prior to ATI install(before I commit myself). Also would like to know if you'd like to participate in some local drives with a feww other locals.
i dont know if this post wil fly without you being a supporting tuner, but the experience i have had with vortech supercharges (as seen in carroll supercharged cars) is that they dont come to play...they are pigs, and its a ridiculously over priced kit...what is the price going to be on this kit? :nono:
xtreme..
I would have no problem with meeting you and letting you drive and checkout my car and supercharger. I would enjoy doing some local stuff with the car. email me and we set a time to get together. Dan

In response to your post. Vortech spends the time to do clean installs looking almost factory. They spend months doing the research and fine tuning. I have been around many forms of racing and the one thing that sticks out...You get what you pay for. besides if it is to expensive for you..then just do not invest in it. We all have a choice to put mods on our own cars..My belief..everyone has a unique car with what added performance goodies they choose..I on the other had to not bash them..I appreciate their love of the game....speed
Interested in hearing more about the Vortech. Price, Performance documentation.
You site looks nice, but it's very irritating how you have to wait for that heavy intro before you can get to what you want to see. I must have shut down your site 4 times since reading this thread before I finally waited thru it to load. There aren't any details after waiting for all of that. I kinda had that feeling. :(
I am willing to bet this kit will be of very high quality and not much more expensive than the ProCharger. If Vortech does decide to get greedy then the ATI kit is still an excellent option.
I am patiently waiting for the Vortech kit. Thanks for making the picture available. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
If you are not under an NDA maybe you could answer some questions. Does the Vortech kit retain the stock cooloing fans? Does the kit use an SQ trim blower (I want a quiet one)? Do they pin the crank/balancer or use some type of collet to keep the balancer from spinning on the crank? What do they use for fuel enrichment (sime type of FMU or injectors/tuning)?

It's annoying even with a T1 connection, having to click through every pic on your site to get to 1 small pic of the SC. Try posting a direct link to the pic if you want to post a pic.

Hell yeah, that was a PIA and then i closed it to try and start again and skip the flash, but i had to watch it :cuss
You know I tried to do a few memebers a favor and have a picture to view. I do not know how to do a link just to the picture. Bottom line if you do not want to go to the site in PROGRESS don't. I tried to put just a picture on but I could not get it to work. !!!
