I currently have a cam only ls6 that I added a A&A v3-ti to. During this build, I ended up with a custom sheet metal intake off a friends car for cheap. With this intake is includes rails.
I'm adding a UPP fuel system and I want to keep the factory returnless fuel system.
My question now is, would I need to run 2 fuel pressure regulators(1 for UPP/ one for factory feed) Since the factory one off the rails is eliminated?
Or would it be better off to build a return style since I'm already in it? Regardless I'd need 2 regulators?

99 and up cars don't have a regulator on the rails, I believe that piece that looks like a regulator is actually there to dampen the injector pulse... on an 01 your regulator should be built into the fuel filter

Ohhhh is that so?
So I should be just fine feeding the rails from the factory line?

you can feed aftermarket rails from the factory line you just need an adapter to convert that line so that you can use -an hose ends... it will work but I agree with the post above, a boost referenced return style setup would be the way to go when you decide to build the system
If you want to keep the factory system factory as it was originally designed, you don't need an additional reg. There is actually already one in the rear that returns the fuel to the tank and it is pre-regulated by the time it reaches the rail. Our system has a check valve to keep the factory system from accessing the regulator/return. They are then only available for our system when it's active. If you're wanting to make a full return system (and have the ability to boost reference the regulator) then you have to remove the factory regulator in the rear, and remove the check valve from our system. This will allow the factory system to access our reg and be regulated by it.
