If you use red Loctite on the arp balancer bolt as they recommend in the ati instructions how do you remove it the next time you take the balancer off? From what I understand you have to get the bolt pretty hot to release the Loctite.
Dont use red loctite. Pin your crank, use ARP's moly lube and torque it. Loctite is useless on that bolt...it wont stop the damper from spinning off if you install wrong and screws your torque reading up.

Thanks for your advice. My crank is keyed so I am not worried about the balancer spinning. I just did not know if red Loctite was necessary to keep the bolt tight. I would think that the 230 ft lbs they recommend torqueing the bolt to would be enough.

IMO you're more than good to go with moly and proper torque.
The loctite thing came along due to the stupid interference fit of the damper from the factory. Without a key or pin, the odds your aftermarket damper spins off goes up. Loctite wont help in that scenario, even when installed per the service manual(ask me how i know).
