roots style blower boost issue..help
hey all, have a question on a roots style blower. i'm getting no boost until about 3/4 throttle then it comes in full boost all of a sudden (not rpm related..throttle position related only). it used to boost some at part throttle but now acts like an on/off switch for the boost. it is not running lean, everything seems fine and has power, blower working good otherwise...just that weird problem.
YES I unplugged the bypass valve...it is NOT the cause..same symptom with it unplugged or plugged in. that was my first thought. Now i'm thinking i have a intake leak somewhere.....would that cause my symptoms? or is there something i'm not thinking about? I am guessing there's no vacuum leak...just a boost leak. But doesn't make sense to me why it does that. it seriously feels like a toggle switch on the gas pedal for on off boost haha. THANKS all. I'm going to try and pressure smoke check it this week. any other ideas????/
