Default Idle surge after Stage 2 cam and Heads install.

2000 Maggie blown just had a Stage 2 cam and heads and general freshening. Idle surging 800-1200ish. I am trying to isolate it to maybe AC.
Anyone have a Stage 2 blower cam that does this?

Who's "Stage 2" cam is it? What are the specs? If you turn the AC off and it stops, then it's probably related to the compensation in the tune for the AC, but I'm not used to seeing that cause any surging. Some good solid tune work will certainly straighten it all out unless it's caused by some mechanical issue or something other than the tune. Running through all the basic checks like pressure checks, plug and wire checks should reveal any culprit if it's not in the tune.

Has it been tuned for the cam yet?

Default Cam specs

Sorry for the delay. For additional info the car has now stalled 3 times. It seems to happen when moving around in a parking lot where I just "bump" the clutch to pull forward or back up and when the engine RPM comes back down after the "bump" it doesn't recover in time and falls to 200-300rpm and stalls. Seems to be when it's 80 deg plus ambient. The car was tuned in march in Michigan so I wonder if it needs a little "touch up" for the hot days........

Cam specs are 232/232 .595/.595 114LSA.

Thanks in advance for any advice

The tuner should be able to fix that for you. Not unusual to happen after a cam install. The tune just isn't right. You should have zero drivability problems with that cam.

It is the needed airflow during idle.

Idle Airflow and Ignition Advance (idle and "running" advance) tuning is critical.

I doubt you need any changes to a rolling idle. :-)

It's not the just the RAF if it's stalling while rolling through a parking lot as you say. If you take it to any competent tuner, they should be able to fix it easily. That's not any kind of crazy cam profile. If you're playing with it yourself, try raising the cracker at low RPM's. What' happening at low RPM's and low speeds gets pretty involved but I would start with raising those low RPM/speed cracker values.
