Currently running a stock ls6 with an AA t-trim on a 3.8 pulley, making 10-11 psi just over factory redline. Ecs stage 1 fuel system, XSpower longstubes and 60s that came with the A&A kit. No meth, making 580whp for two seasons aggressively using the car. Tune seems solid. I'd like more power but would rather build or buy a long block that can handle the turn up so I can sell my ls6 and offset the cost of the long block.
Should I buy a lsx376-b15 brand new for 8k or have someone build me a 346 or 383 that will take the abuse. Haven't seen many people built long blocks for under 8k so this 15psi boost ready lsx crate sounded like a good option but I don't like the low rpms in it vs what a ls1/6 built can do...
If the lsx376 is a long block, its probably going to be ls3 heads and use a different intake than your ls6 intake and throttle body. I have seen people run that engine with good results but the intake and various sensors being different places will cost you a little more you might be expecting. Also ls3 heads take different cam specs than cathedral heads. Depending on if your power goals are staying under 800, I would keep the factory crank, put some nice pistons and rods in it. Then if it fits your budget still find a nice set of heads. Lots of guy have made well over 800 with the ls6 intake and throttle body. Many guys have pushed the factor cranks over 1000. So if you are staying under 800, that would be what I do.

What's a t-trim push max? 750-775 rwhp? No need for an iron race block at that level just swap the pistons / rods / studs with arp gear. Those gen 4 blocks use a 54 x reluctor so you'll need to swap it or use a box.
