Noisy procharger f1x
Can't believe I swapped out my ysi that gave me years of trouble free fun for this f1x....at low rpm sounds like a random hammer is hitting it and the belt jumps up Anybody ever run into this issue? So disapointed!!! No passes at the track....maybe 250 street miles ,no highway pulls ,nothing at all....I even decided to stay conservative with the pulley combo cause I was horrified overspining it.
8 inch crank and 4.25 blower pulley is not even max impeller speed at 6500rpm. It's still under warranty but what a pain losing the car for 3 weeks plus all the shipping from Canada.
UNREAL!!!

If the belt is jumping as you're hearing the noise, that's not sounding good. I would avoid running it any more and get it back to PC. There's not much inside these centrifugals, gears and bearings. Sounds like its skipping a tooth inside, but it's not something I've ever seen or heard of before.

My D1SC had similar play in it and was very noisy at idle. It had 20k miles on it when I bought the car and another thousand or so miles into driving it the entire gear drive failed. PC said nothing was salvageable, not even the case. The new one has zero play in it.

After a long talk with a tech at pc he suggested I Drain oil and look for debris in oil.....did that and oil is fairly clean besides a bit of fine breaking metal(that's what they said) bearings sound ok from spinning by hand next they want me to reinstall and take video of the noise and go from there
