Going through my 2003 FI z06 and i'm trying to get familiar with all the equipment like the FI, Meth kit and the like. It has a surge at idle after coming down from cruising speeds and it drops surges lower from idle to 500rpms 3 times, then settles back at 900rpms. Readinfg some of the post from others I was going to test the MAF sensor to see if I oulkd narrow it down before taking it in. I have a 02 Z06 and I know where the MAF is. I don't see the MAF on the system. The only sensor looking item is on the intake tube before the throttle body and after Meth nozzles. I'm I missing something obvious?

Did you get a parts list or dyno sheet with the car?

Do you have HPtuners? If so then datalog the condition you are experiencing and post it up.

Don't have HPtuners, but do have the dyno sheet And a bunch of engine parts receipts from the 2nd owner. I'm the 4th owner. 3rd owner just installed tires and some simple ascetics.

Default surging

[QUOTE=Turpid porpoise;1595421668]Post up whatever you can so we can better understand what you are dealing with.[/

I'm getting a surge at idle when I go to stop, clutch in and out of gear.
drops to 500 rpms then back to 900 rpms 3 times and then settles back at idle around 900. If I slowly reduce rpms with gearing it don't do it. Only when lowering when I get off the gas, clutch is in. If I'm driving at 45 mph and press the clutch coasting it also will doe it returning to idle. It also stalls after sitting for about an 1/2 our when hot.

Thanks for the help.

Sorry, I meant post a mod list. I understand whats happening but more info about whats been done to the car will help single it out.

Either way, if you aren't one to wrench on your own vehicles then it may be best to get it to a reputable shop in your area for a full insection and it sounds like your tune may need to be cleaned up.

That's what I'll do.
Thanks
