^^ He's right. Only restricts the top end, not the bottom. Milan's right too. Your 02's switch where they're set to. You can do open loop cruise and save a bit of fuel. I suspect that cruising @ 60mph will save over cruising @ 75-80, but what fun is that?
You can also do a mix of open and closed loop. Open loop cruise and closed loop idle if you choose.
Reducing your timing will negatively affect your mileage by creating lower power for the same given fuel charge.
The only idea I have for you beyond what the others have shared is to get a small trailer and load it up with fuel and try hyper-miling by drafting big trucks down the highway
I hate to say it, but I hope over spinning your V3 works out for you. If not, you can split the case open and convert it to engine oil fed and take out the oil slinger.

I will do some 02 mods test this weekend
A 60mph cruise is A LOT boring on a 1000fwhp car, specialy a +300miles cruise lol
For timing, it was what i was thinking... and it s why i have test huge timing before going Z06 based map
I overspin the v3 since 2013 or less, and it was my DD, V3 rock... (for now)
Did you think engine oïl is better than expensive special vortech oïl ? (who look like dextron, but it's another story)

On timing every car is a little diff even with the same set up & parts in it. Find the cars sweet spot in that and keep it at the level are deg's.

honestly 11-12 mpg on the freeway for a 1000hp car seems pretty damn good to me?
even if you improve that by 25% though which would be huge you're still not going to make your event the way you are describing so seems like a waste of time to try? it's not like your car is ever going to get 25mpg on e85 no matter what you do.
I'm sure there will be other people with trucks and trailers at your event, if it were me I would just offer to buy one of them dinner or beer and ask them to bring you 20 gallons of e85 you can drop off with them ahead of time and then can just put them in their trailer or something. I've done this before when had no room for stuff in my car.
I would imagine that adding a restrictor will do nothing

Le Mans Master
absolutely correct timing tables would be different, but if you stay conservative on the street, and set on "kill" at the track with e85, I think you'll be much happier in the long run with a car you can take out on the road without worry
e85 is availalble but getting stuck without it is no fun and the flex fuel does just fine for 90% duty
I agree that for best results, the flex fuel tune is a compromise at best, but it sure beats walking down the side of the road
ask me how I know.

if I'm not mistaken, since the days of yours, they either added the slinger or changed the way it attaches and it's composition and it was a big fail. Word from beyond is that they took a closer look at this and are changing it for the better or already have done so.

Better that restrictor plate (who just limit the flow and the power at a certain point), a bypass valve...
Think about ZL1 and ZR1 PD SC... they have a bypass valve to reduce the operational load of the supercharger on the engine (and also reduce internal supercharger temperatures since air is not being compressed needlessly)
The bypass valve reroutes intake air from before the sc rotors to after the sc rotors so the extra air isn't compressed and bypasses the sc
This reduces boost and save fuel for sure
So, what about unmount the valve in blow off valve whene 100% cruise trip ?
See this : https://www.google.fr/url?sa=i&rct=j...06165455173008
(calc inside)
V3 Si show 2.9psi at 2.387rpm, and 7.6psi when concervative psi for stock high CR application (3.8" pulley and 7.33" damper for LS)
I'm 3.125" and 8" OD, so, when i cruise at 1800rpm, my sc hit the same psi than graph show at... 2388rpm... so, 2.9psi (at 1rpm diff lol)
As NA is 14.5psi... my engine "eat" 17.4psi, so it's 20% more air (and fuel)
So, open blowoff should save exactly 20% fuel (in my theory)
And it's a way easy ^^ perhaps just noisy (shhhhhhhhhhhhhhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu) lol

Go back to the basics of internal combustion gasoline engine.
Limit the airflow with the throttle.
As much as you want. It is there for that exact reason. :-)

drive 350 miles for drag race without any E85 station... and expecting use more than 20 gallons on the dragstrip during 3 days race

can you not have someone follow you there with a truck and a few barrels of fuel?... or put a hitch on the c5 and rent a small uhaul trailer

others have not place...
others tell me "sorry, i'm not take any fuel barrels because too risky (leak, smell, explosion like in the film... all raisons who exist in the world")
others dont respond (and, at the track, will probably tell me "oh, how re you, fine ?")
others live far away from me
and in fact, as it's the last dragrace of the year, it's a special event as they have to cancel the normal last (normaly, last race is 1st weekend of september), and realy a few French (i live there) racers want to go a this race in Italy (another country)
i probably find somebody if i ask individualy to all person i know, but it will be the same boat next time, so i'm lookling for an solution to my self
