Looking for an air filter for my older A&A supercharger
Hi,
I'm having a hard time finding a air filter for my old A&A supercharger kit. I ordered one from A&A Corvette but it is not the same size and they said that's the only one they carry. Crap. So I'm returning that one but it still leaves me without an air filter. Does anyone have the older kit and know where to get the air filter from? See pictures please.
It is 8" wide.
Has a 4" outlet.
It's 6" tall (almost 7" if you factor in flange)
The one they sent me is way too wide to fit.
The filter I have is beyond cleaning. I've looked at K&N filters on line and can't find one that's comparable. The filter appears to once have been blue (black now). Help

You might try sending k&n an email. They can make anything pretty much custom I believe. They also might even be able to make a bigger surface area and increase air flow.

Seems a common issue these days
Get the ECS filter - it's basically the same filter dimensions - I just went out and measured it (as I'm replacing my old filter which I believe is A&A (Frankenstein kit)).
It's 4" opening, 8" wide, 6" tall..

It does look very similar but this scares me.
ECS Air Filter. Will Fit ONLY ECS Supercharger Systems. High-Flow Air Filters. For new design air inlet after Jan 2017
Why would they say that?

It's an air filter... Don't read too much into it
I just measured it again for sanity sake. It's the same filter minus the hole.
8" Wide (Top and Bottom)
6" tall - flange almost makes it 7
4" inlet hole

This may be a stupid question, does the air filter need to be oiled with like K&N's oil?

It has to be oiled for sure. The oil helps catch the dirt out of the air. If there is another brand of oil out there, it should do the job. I don't remember the K&N oil kits being very expensive and so it would be hard to be much cheaper and save money.
