Call me. I have kits with the idler relocated and idler bosses milled to eliminate belt problems. I also have an LS1 Edit program that should work with your heads and cam and a D1SC. My prices with the extra machine work are in line with others' stock prices.

You would be very smart to take your car to Andys in Ventura to have the ATI installed there. He does many custom tweaks to the car that really helps out the final product you get. Trust me when I say it is really worth it. :yesnod:

Hey Trip,
If you can't make it out, give us a call. I'll see what we can do for you since you are running our H/C package. I've got plenty of dyno's under my belt with the setup. Besides the regular Tuner kit, we are also working on a new MMS supercharger setup for the D1SC. With what we've learned with these kits and how they work, we've decided to start with a clean sheet of paper. We're in working this out on a 427 we have at the shop. About the only thing that will be the same is the blower itself. I'll have some pics in a couple weeks.

Hey Andy, I e-mailed you a while back about the above and never heard back from you.

1) Do you have the kits available for sale to those who already own an ATI system?

2) If not could I forward my brackets to you for modification?

3) If so what kind of price are we talking? Thanks in advance.

......... Does this mean you guys have figured out the bearing problem in the idler pulley?
I don't want to be replacing them every 3-4 K miles........

You got it -- I think from what I have read on other threads Andy has these problems solved. Much of the problem with the Idler pulley was due to putting to much tension on it to stop belt slippage. Apparently Andy's set up results in much more belt contact to the SC by moving the pulleys.

......... :D That's good news, I think I'll still look into the idler pulley scenareo alittle further. I'm not spending $6k plus to replace bearings every 6 months, thats nuts.......

It makes sense the manufacturer will correct the pulley load problem pronto. As far as the tuners doing a fab fix, I'm not sure about that yet..

I am pretty sure that the machine work has to do with the belt staying on the pulleys. It has little or nothing to do with the fact that the bearings can go out in the idlers.

vetterdstr, are you saying idler bearing wear is related to how hard you are on the motor?

Andy, thanks for the e-mail response to this inquiry. Looks like with your mods we will have a much better mouse trap.

No, I am not saying that.

My Idler bearings went out and I was not hard on the motor other than the occasional blast at WOT. I dont know why the bearings went out other than they may have been bad from the start. They are actually made to last a long time.

Since the S/C install I have not had the car on the track once. Very soon I will run the car once this current round of Mods is complete. :yesnod:
