Default Boost-a-pump died.......

Hey guys, my boost-a-pump died on my 2004 TTIX twin turbo z06. The car was built in 2008 and it finally gave up the ghost. I want to replace it with another boost-a-pump but they show a 17 volt and a 20 volt. Which one should I get? Mine is the old style with adjuster ****.

Thanks for your advice!
Mike

Boost a pumps are a weak link, next one might take out your motor. Why not build your fuel system up to not need one?

I agree. You are much better off building a system that doesn't rely on a boost a pump. Larger pump and a hotwire will most likely do it.

Anyone had a pump failure themselves attributed to a boost a pump?
I have been running one with a stock pump for over 4 years and no issues.
I have an improved custom harness tho
Discussed with my electrical engineer nephew- feels with a submurged pump it can handle a 50% voltage increase on an as needed basis indefinitely

That being said, a larger pumpand wiring is probably a better option and about the same cost

I do plan a stage 1 fuel system later this year when I do the cam swap and mantic clutch. I have had the cam for 2 years lol...im kinda lazy. I went ahead and ordered the 20 volt competition model boost a pump. The original lasted 10 yrs with no problems using the racetronics harness.

I fully agree, but what pumps are a good choice for cars that are street driven (daily driver) and only make between 500 to 650 rwhp?
I have been collecting parts for my fuel system for a while now. I want to make sure I have enough fuel pump but not too much pump while staying with the factory fuel bucket.
Are the aeromotive 340 pumps reliable?
are there better options?
